Quick Facts
F is for FAIRNESS
Proposition F requires reasonable levels of workforce housing, making it affordable to live here for the people who feed our community, keep our city clean, and teach our children. Proposition F would give workers a way to stay in San Francisco, requiring that 50% of units developed in the proposed Bayview-Hunter's Point development are available to working families. Proposition F is San Francisco’s chance to vote against the out-migration of working families, ensuring that the people who make our city a diverse, rich, and beautiful place to live, can afford to live here too.
Fairness vs. Goliath
Large land developer, Lennar, is funding the campaign against Proposition F. Through April, Lennar spent over $2,230,000 against Proposition F. Fairness will cut into corporate profits, which Lennar has estimated at $300,000,000. How could this development be so profitable? Lennar has cut corners, exposed Bayview schoolchildren to asbestos and other toxins, and received Candlestick Point land from City Hall for one dollar. If San Francisco is giving land away, it’s only fair that working San Franciscans get something in return.
Proposition F is Common Sense
San Francisco wants a fair deal for every San Franciscan. Everyone can not make our city’s average income of over $92,000. Not all San Franciscans can afford luxury condominiums. San Francisco has a proud history of protecting the underdogs among us. Proposition F is a referendum on our City’s character. On June 3, San Francisco will vote for working families, vote against corporate welfare, and vote YES on F. After all, F is for FAIRNESS.
